From the Lowry Center for Early Childhood Education, Oakland University, teacher Ann Ratterree, who is Adjunct Professor at Macomb Community College, writes Professor Hart presented for us again this morning. Combining music and math makes an interesting and engaging presentation. Our 4 and 5-year olds were engaged in Hart's every word and motion. His use of string and salt is a perfect example of "seeing is believing." Hart's positive attitude and obvious delight in mathematics gave our students a wonderful experience. We hope that Professor Hart will present for us again, providing new opportunities and experiences for our most precious asset -- our children. |
